This is an Okinawa introduction handbill.

So anyone know I'm a programmer and doing only logical work.

and this one is a rarely physical work, but I didn't make all this thing.

I just only compose the Thai version of this handbill (Thanks to Miro-San for translating) with a little decorate.

Today while I'm going to buy some drinking water....

I found this thing selling at the ground floor of building.







What is this green thing ?
...
yeah it's ancient Thai dessert, borrowed from China through Vietnam.
It made of rice flour and pandan leaf juice (for natural green color and aromatic).
for the syrup in Thailand it made of coconut sugar or palm sugar, Glucose Syrup (for the consistency) and roasted sesame seeds.

And we called it "ขนมถ้วยจีน" [Kha-nom tuay jeen] (Chinese cup dessert)





Originally in the Vietnam version of this dessert it will come in square shape because they use the big square salver to steam the batter then cut into bite size.

But here in Thailand we have a little cup for making dessert called "ถ้วยตะไล" [Tuay ta-lai] (Talai cup) so we apply it.
As you see when the batter was cooked the hole in the center will appear.

and that hole was very useful ♥





See ♥ I pour the syrup into the hole and finish it so it won't spill while eating ♥


One thing that you should know about this dessert is ....
it's must eat this dessert with syrup, if you lost the syrup you will get a green bitter chunk.
so keep eyes on your syrup.

Hello it’s me Reroyd.
Today I’ll bring you guys to my kitchen and show you how to make Thai ordinary chicken soup.

Never mind for the ingredients you will see that along the description.

1st : the vegetables, I use carrots, tomatoes, onions, cilantro (coriander) and Thai celery




2nd : Cut off the cilantro root and crush it (we will use the cilantro’s root for the broth) and chop the stem and leaf for about 1.5 inch long, and the celery also chop it about 1.5 inch long too (But throw away the root).





3rd : Start with the broth I use the rest of my chicken broth and add some water, if you don’t have the chicken broth just use the room temperature water.
Add the crushed cilantro’s root into the broth





4th : I add some extra chicken broth cubes (Yeah I add 2 cubes, it’s depend on how much water you use)





5th : After the cubes were dissolved add carrots and bring it to a boiled.




6th : When it’s start to boil remove the scum for the clear soup




7th : And later if scum were appear, remove it again.




8th : Add the chicken and bring it to a boil again.




9th : Lower the heat and add onions (do you see the clear soup ^^)




10th : Add the tomatoes.




11th : Cover the pot and let it cook for a while in medium heat (Beware the boiling over)




12th : Open the cover and taste the carrots if it’s soft that’s mean it’s ready to adjust the taste.





13th : Add salt to taste, you can also use other seasoning to adjust the taste such as soy sauce fish sauce or something similar (But I use only salt)




14th : Keep simmer it until the onions are translucent …. Yeah that’s mean we are nearly finish ♥.




15th : After that turn off the heat and add chopped cilantro and chopped celery.




16th : Cover it for 5-10 minutes and …. Finish!!!




17th : Serve it with Thai jasmine rice or you can put the rice in it and it became to chicken rice soup.




18th : Or you can put some Thai chili, lime juice and fried shallot and it became Thai southern spicy and sour chicken soup. (Originally Thai southern chicken soup was no carrots but… nah I love carrot).

Hello it's me Reroyd.

Today I'll explain how am I go to work here... at Huaykwang.


the idea for me to write down this entry is.....

when I met someone I know (such as my old friends or my old teacher)...

they always ask me "you got a job yet ?", "WHEN ?" ,"WHERE ?" ,"that's too far, how can you get in time. ?"


It's start by the BUS No. 6 .... Yup I just go by bus for a while until I reach the Sathorn Ferry pier (the other name is Pepsi's pier) this cost me 12 Baht.

Then I Took the ferry boat to get across the Chaophraya river to the Bangrak district, this cost me 3.50 Baht (up from previous 3 Baht).


Next, I took the BTS sky train from Sapan Taksin station to Asoke station, this cost me about 22 Baht (because I use the monthly card.).


Then, I took the MRT subway from Sukumvit station to Huaykwang station, this cost me another 22 Baht (because if I took MRT from Silom station it will cost me more than from Sukumvit station).

Then, took a little walk (maybe 500 meters) to the company.



As I explain from above it's really far from my home, but I love to travel a little longer to work it's like I can warm my body before get work.

today.... I'm become a translator.


so...I didn't sure how strong I'm I in English language.

but it's fun to translate something into Thai because Thai language have more than one word to explain one English word.

like "is" the simple English word can translate into Thai for 3 kind of meaning so it will be "เป็น" or "อยู่" or "คือ"..


sometime it's confuse but it's also fun isn't it hah ?

today is just a normal day for me again....

except I met someone in the morning...





the wild pig ... it's come back to it's place.

but in a bigger size ha ha ha.

So in Thai language wild pig is "หมูป่า" (Moopah) and if you translate it straightly you will get the word "jungle pig" instead of "wild pig"

because "หมู" (moo) mean pig and "ป่า" (pah) mean jungle, so หมูป่า is really mean the pig(s) that lived/found in the jungle. = wild pig.

yesterday I've decide to practice the Japanese language by myself...

so I start with Hiragana practice sheet, it's took me for 3 hours to finish...






it's a little bit hard to remember the letter because some of character was not make sense for me.

for example き (ki) and さ (sa) is quite same but it not in the same voice row.

but る (ru) and and ろ(ro) was make sense for me...

but anyway Thai letters was not make sense for foreigner too... (and for me in sometime) Ha ha ha


and at least I can read the package of dessert that my friend given me in morning CORRECTLY...






Yeah it was "Momiji Manjuu"

even if I just finished the core..


but that's mean it can work correctly with full function.

As you see in the video I just walking through the Sathorn park and get to the Taksin bridge

then walk across the Chaophraya river...

it's good to walk across this bridge in the early morning because it not too hot....

And the cards that I made won't fit in the general envelope...

I think the one important thing is "keyboard"...

so... in the last Sunday I've decide to buy a new keyboard...





so this one is a mechanical keyboard and it's better for my finger and feeling than a rubber dome keyboard.

This one uses the blue Alps switch so it's more like a blue Cherry switch.

and of course the price was higher than the rubber dome too...






The regular rubber dome keyboard will be worth around 99 THB to 450 THB.

but this one worth me 1490 THB...

and this 1490 THB was the cheapest mechanical keyboard in Thailand for now because the other will worth around 2700 THB to 5500 THB....



what a scary price..

so... some people said that Thai language was so hard...

but one thing that I want you to know is Thai grammar was easily than other...

I think everyone can learn to speak Thai language in 3 months...

and it's may take a few years later to understand the read and write in Thai....



but never mind ....

all two side of this stone was mistaken....

the Thai language of Ratburana is ราษฎร์บูรณะ

so the fourth letter of that word never had in Thai language .....

we only have ถ and ฤ only....


that was a big mistaken for the district officer....


but I don't know when will they come to fix it...

Hello it's me, Reroyd.

I think everyone know that I'm a programmer.

so today I will explain my confusing work to you guys.


the first thing is I'm developing a Facebook application that working with the RSS feed.

at first I use the DOM HTML document to get RSS data and extract the first media that it found in the description or content part...

and yesterday the getMedia function that I use to get first media of the content was broken with no error it's just return nothing instead of picture url like that entry has no picture in it (but it truly had)...

so that make me waste so much time to fix it....


And the second thing is today I have to integrated all part of my program to be an application...

and I found that I never get the group picture before So I have to get it but.... how ?

another time wasted period makes me known that I have to use the access token of user to get those picture...but how ?

I tried to explore the "Facebook graph explorer" to get the solution but I got nothing

finally I decide to craft a new function to get those picture only.....

another another time wasted and got that function working....


and another finally I found out the real way to get those picture is finish in one line of coding...........


I feel shame and tired for now in the same time

what a confusing work...
