Kai-Jiao~
Hello it's me, Reroyd.
today I'll show you my lunch.
it's called "ไข่เจียว" (Kai-Jiao) 「カイジオウー」 so..... formerly it's just a deep fired beaten egg..
but for now we add some extra ingredient such as green onion, shred carrot or other thing you want event ground pork or chili.
This one cost me 25 Baht....little bit expensive.

generally Thai people eat Kai-Jiao with steamed rice but in sometime we also eat it with other thing such as instant noodle....due to the lazy meter of person.
That's all for today.
Thanks.

Tang-Taek
Hello it's me, Reroyd.

today I'll show you the traditional Thai dessert formerly called "ถังแตก" (Tang-Taek) 「タンタグ」 [Broken bucket]
but for now it's change the name by the seller because "ถังแตก" was a Thai slang word means "out of money"...
for today it's called "ถังทอง" (Tang-Tong) 「タントン」 [Golden bucket] for the good meaning, But lots of people still called the old name....even me ha ha ha~

See......... if you ever go to Malaysia this dessert is looks like a Malaysian Matabak but deference stuff.
It's like a pan cake stuffed with white sugar, shred coconut meat and roasted sesame seeds.
And sometime you may found the rare ถังแตก that staff with brown sugar and peanut, but it's hard to find today.

The shell was made of rice flour, coconut creme, salt and water. And the stuff is just an simple ingredient sugar, shred coconut meat and roasted sesame seeds.

After bought it don't let it sit too long because the texture of the shell will become tough.
that's all for today.
Thanks.

My omlette
Hello it's me, Reroyd.
Today I'll show you how to make stuffed omlette.
So...this is my recipe :)
in Thailand we call omlette as "ไข่เจียว" [Khai Jeow] so the word "ไข่" [Khai] means egg(s) and "เจียว" means to fry for a while.
OK... let's do it.
At first stir fried the chopped cabbage and sliced white pepper pork sausage (หมูยอ) [Mooh Yorh] with little bit of fish source (May be 1 tea spoon is enough)

then put it into beaten eggs (I use 2 eggs), spring with roasted sesame seed and add some salt and chicken powder to taste then mix it.

fry it on a medium heat for about 1 minute (don't use olive oil , I prefer vegetable oil such as kanola oil or palm olein oil)

then reduce the heat into low and cover it for about 3-4 minutes.

flip it with your skill (yeah sure I use spatula) and cover it for about 2-3 minutes and we're finish.

after finished place the omlette on the cutting board and cut it in the way whatever you like.

see the stuff

That's all for today...
Enjoy my recipe~

Instant noodle.
Hello it's me, Reroyd.
Today I'll talk about the instant noodle in Thailand.
There are many brand of instant noodle in Thailand but the fourth famous are...
1. มาม่า (Mama) 「マーマー」
2. ยำยำ (Yumyum) 「ヤムヤム」
3. ไวไว (Waiwai) 「ワイワイ」
4. เอฟเอฟ (Efef) 「エフエフ」
all off these name are no meaning except "ไวไว" means quickly, but in this case it no meaning too -*-
and there are also many another brand of Thai instant noodle but not famous such as "ใบโพธิ์" (Bai-Poh) [Sacred Fig leaf] that they made only vegetarian instant noodle.
The standard price of the Thai instant noodle is about 5-6 Baht per pack (for Mama brand they also sell the "Big pack" type at 12 Baht).
The pack type of Thai instant noodle is only had noodle and flavor powder.
And 12-17 Baht per cup (for the cup type.)
The cup type come with dried meet.
And 25-35 Baht per bowl (for the bowl type.)
The bowl type come with cooked meet.
most of the Thai instant noodle come with the easy instruction at the back of the pack like......
- unpack and place the noodle into the bowl.
- add the flavor powder.
- add 1-1.5 cup of hot water.
- cover for 3 minutes.
but there are also has some extra noodle that you have to "Cook" it such as instant rice noodle.
so be careful to read the instruction before the step.
at last I'll show my instant noodle (Tom Yam flavored) with some decoration with "คะน้า" (Kanaa) [Kai-lan] 「カイラン」, กุ้ง (Kung) [Shrimp] 「エビ」 and "กะเพรา" (Ka-Prao) [Basil] 「バジリコ」

the taste is not bad, but I think it's will delicious only when you're so hungry.
That's all for today.
Thanks.

O-Liang
Hi it's me, Reroyd.
Today I'll show you a Thai drinking that's called "โอเลี้ยง" [O-Liang].
so the word "O-Liang" is not a Thai word so it's no meaning in Thai language.
but we borrowed from Teochew Chinese.
OK... the word "O" in Teochew means "Black"
and the word "Liang" in Teochew means "Cold"
...
so "O-Liang" means a drinking that black and cold.
Let's see it.

see.... it's black and cold (because of the ice
)

The main ingredient of this black liquid is just a roasted coffee but it's mix with roasted rice and roasted dried corn.
so if you ever drink an Americano coffee ... yeah the O-Liang taste is most likely close to it but it's thicker.
This drink is suitable for a sleepy afternoon .
Tha'ts all for today
Thanks.

Kaotom Jiim.
Hello it's me, Reroyd.
Today I'll show you an another Thai snack.
It's called "ข้าวต้มจิ้ม" [Kao-tom Jiim] (Boiled sticky rice stuffed with black been and banana)
So... in Thai language "ข้าวต้ม" [Kao-tom] means boiled rice and "จิ้ม" [Jiim] means to dip.
Let's see it.

as you see this thing come in pyramid shape but there are another kind of Kaotom Jiim that come in cylinder shape due to how they wrap the rice with banana leafs.
To eat the Kaotom Jiim we use fork or spoon to cut it into bite size and dip into the mixture of sugar and roasted sesame seeds.
You can also topped with the shred coconut for the better taste.
That's all for today.

Khanom Bueang Yuan.
Hello it's me Reroyd.
today I'll show you a traditional Thai snack that we borrowed from Vietnam.
it's called "ขนมเบื้องญวน" [Kha-nom Bueang Yuan] (Vietnamese crepe snack) and in Vietnamese it's called "Bahn Xeo"

from the photo above Khanom Bueang Yuan is come in a square shape but if you ever see the Bahn Xeo so it's come with semicircle shape.
the difference between Khanom Bueang Yuan except how it's looks like is the shell Thai version was tender and Vietnam version is crunchy
and the other thing is Bahn Xeo eat with sauce and fresh vegetable but Khanom Bueang Yuan eat with cucumber, shallot and chili salad like the picture above.

for the stuff it has mung bean sprout, tofu, shrimp powder and crushed peanuts.
This one is quite oily so the taste is just OK. it'll better if it's not oily like this.
That's all for today.
Thanks.

Just crack it with your hand or spoon.

And use the spoon tip to get the meet....then finish it....
Ummmmm.~♥
Taste like chestnut but more crunchy.
That's all for today.
Thanks.
P.S. Wash your hand after eat it.
